[MODS-MODS] Part2: How to make photo frame using unused box

This time, I tried making an ultra simple photo frame! The frugal Mods! Looking at the paper box piled up at the corner of my house, I suddenly feel the urge to reform! The paper box was quite thick and strong that I was hesitant to throw it away and the soon-destined-to-be garbage turns into a nice frame. A nice pat on my back : -) Simply follow these steps one by one.

What you need: Paper box, jeans or worn clothes, glue gun, scissors, ruler, button, cotton, etc.

1. Outline the frame on the prepared paper box.
2. Cut the outer frame in 13*17 ratio. Cut the inner frame in 8*12 ratio using a cutter knife. (The inner frame is 2.5m from the outer frame) !! Please be careful when using the cutter knife !!

3. Place the prepared paper frame on the jean or worn clothing and draw the lines using a pencil or chalk. Give 10mm or so of additional clothe to wrap the jean around the paper frame. In my case, I used 15*19.

4. As shown in the picture above, attach the inner side first using a glue gun. Leave the front part of the frame untouched because we will be inserting cottons for “embossing”

5. Fill in the wider area with cotton and fix using a glue gun. Repeat the same procedure for other sides of the frame. Voila!! A soft and cushiony frame completed! :)

6. You can spice up the frame with buttons from worn clothing. You can skip this if you don’t have any leftover buttons.

7. Make a ring with the jean cloth to hang the frame.

Print out the photo stored in your camera and frame it. This frame is made of the inner side of jeans. I like this frame~ :-)

I guess you must have wondered that behind of frame. I wanna keep as a secret. However, if you guys want to know that, I’ll let you’ve got the secret. Use scrap paper or last year’s calendar to cover the back of the frame. :) It’s not that big sutff, isn’t it?

Several frames can instantly turn your room into a gallery. You can use the frames to display the growth of your child or to decorate your guest room. A topic of discussion for your neighbors or friends visiting! I feel happy and rewarded for having turned a recycling box into a living art :). Want to join me for a cup of coffee at my gallery for friends and neighbors? This was Mods.
