Hi , I think 25 Degree was smart idea . but the camera body design is not compatible with this design . when you hold camera in hand it is not much comfortable . I fell always it is dropping !!!
By the way intelli studio is also a good software but it need improvement . it is converting file format facility is not including Divx.I have SH-855M samsung dvd recorder and it plays Divx on resolution of 720*576 it is not comfort to do recorded file managment by Intelli studio but doing Divx converting by other pc application and converter.
In the other hand fade (in/out) option is very important because as camera records file as individual files it is better to have a fade effect in between of files wile it i splaying by any player or pc.
Unfortunately for any recording user must select and active fade (in/out) to take effect.
I think SAMSUNG engineers must review these issues and make a new firmware.
One very disappoint point for me was that my ordered camera was included with component cable and HDMI mini cable was not included in package !!!
since it is a HD camera then HDMI mini HD cable must be included in the package .
I like Anynet+ figure and i think Camera must have HDMI mini for a user like me that its DVD recorder and LCD are from SAMSUNG !

Hi, Amy!!
It is true that 25 degree lens is a little confused compare to other flat lens products, but you will get used to it soon. As you see the one sample img with shooting type in the middle of article, it features with ergonomic design. So it makes your wirst easy and stressless.
When you film on the flat surface, you can film with 'low angle' method.
For the tripod, it will be the best if you have tilting-tripod but if you don't have, you can use a "moving tripod" to film better.
Thank you for your interest!

:sigh: I wasn't thinking properly when I wrote "non-tilting tripod"
I don't know what I was thinking, adjusting the legs would compensate for the 25 degree angle. Sorry.

Thanks for the awesome review.
To me the 25 degree angle lens would make videos, shot from the camera being on a flat surface or a non-tilting tripod, seem strange or distorted. What are your thoughts on this?

Hello Charti,

As for your question, regarding the difference of OIS and HDIS:
OIS is an optical image stabilization technology, which improves the overall video image quality by making up hand trembling, whereas HDIS, successor of DIS, is a digital technology to make up those trembles.

Thank you,

very nice review, good pictures. Could you perhaps spend some more words on the HDIS results? What is the difference to OIS and where does HDIS fails? Thanks
