Eating breakfast at a beautiful terrace where you can see the brisk park nearby home on a lazy weekend morning. There’s not much to happiness, is there? Just spending some great quality time with your most beloved; family, that’s all we need.

After breakfast, the whole family goes on a morning walk. Just having a park full of awesome plants close to us is overwhelming.

<Thank you for these awesome plants>

This is what my second son said when he was just learning to talk.

Since our children were raised in an environment where Korean and French were both used, they were particularly slow in acquiring language. Anyways, it was one day when we were worried about our second child being slow in talking and being able to communicate.

After a few days since leaving a bean on damp cotton, it sprouted and my son looked at the sprout with speechless amazement and his eyes twinkled as if he was standing before Mother Nature. Then soon he surprised us all by saying,

<Thank you for these awesome plants!>

Since he started to talk, he started to blurt out, slowly and steadily, metaphysical and meaningful words, and this was one of them.

We receive the warm sunlight and breathe in the fresh smells of the grass.

The leaves of armful trees dance around as the nose-tickling wind blows.

The unique shape of the trunk fascinates the eye of the beholder.

After the morning walk, we snapped a few acacia branches and played rock-scissors-papers to get rid of all the leaves first. From grandma and grandpa to grandson, the world of games was harsh. :-)

How much we appreciate the small beauties that are around us and are inspired by it like a little child is, I wonder. Just looking around us, we can find that there are only things to appreciate.

After pressing the elevator button it is thankful that it came quickly and after being on it, it is thankful that the cable didn’t break and we didn’t fall right down the basement.

It is thankful to have gone and came back from school and work safely every day, and after a normal day, having a family to come back to is thankful as well.

Before this, the small things like this had remained unacknowledged- the thousands of little things that make <our every day> safe and sound.
