Halloween is one of the big holiday in Colombia. Every year the 31st of October, people dress up in costumes and face paint or special make up for Halloween. Even workers in office and stores, they also wear funny costumes. Their costumes are so interesting. Those are from animals, a superman, fairies, witches, princesses, soldiers and cartoon characters.

“Trick or treat?” Children have a small parade with pumpkin lanterns and parents bring their children to the mall to go from store to store where treats are handed out to them. Trick-or-treating is a customary celebration for children on Halloween. Children go in costume from house to house, asking for treats such as candy or sweets, with that question.

There are Halloween parties too. Many homes and pubs held dancing parties in the evening. You can see Batman dancing with Snow White on the street. Music is everywhere and all the people smile. “Feliz Halloween!”
