The Samsung HMX-H100P was “Clickx Choice”, the best in a HD camcorder test in Belgium!
Clickx Magazine, a most well-known computer magazine in Belgium, recently awarded the Samsung HMX-H100P with the “Clickx Choice” awards.
Besides the HMX-H100P, the Samsung R10 was also able to claim itself a spot among the tested devices, finishing with a great score of 7, out of 10.
However, the praises of the Flemish publishers were reserved for the HMX-H100P:
Beautiful and handy
The HMX-H100P is quite a big guy.
The combination of the silver-white & black look of the body and the glossy black of the screen makes the H100P the most beautiful device in this test.
Thanks to the pleasant grip it is nice to hold this device. You can turn the grip 180 degrees to avoid a painful wrist.
The control keys are perfectly placed, under our fingers, what makes filming with this Samsung a real pleasure.
Good image
Thanks to the 37mm wide angle lens, this H100P gives us quite some HD image. You can also take pictures with this device and this till 4.7mp. We are very pleased with the moving images as well as with the still pictures.
You can zoom until 10x optical. The 2.7 inch touch screen is quite good, we do have the impression that the screen of the R10 reacts a bit better.
The menu’s are almost identical to those of the R10 and can please us all the way.
When you open the screen you can see some new buttons. This way you can activate the image stabilizer or start the Easy Q modus.
You can connect this Samsung to your TV set with a HDMI- or video cable. They only deliver a component cable in the box.
Especially the outstanding quality of the images, good grip and design of menu were emphasized and pinpointed as “the” products-strengths, stating: “["¦] When we look at design, as well as, user-friendliness and image quality, our personal choice is the Samsung HMX-H100P.”
I’d like to know how to edit the files the hmx h100p does.
Can anyone answer this question i’ve tried premiere, studio 11, nero, etc and have a great difficulty to view the files in 1080 i
Only with the codecs of the samsung and even then it looks bad sometimes like slow motion.
Can anyone help?
What can i use to edit this kind of files samsung videocam does…
i contacted samsung and they told me that i had to get a software that could edit these files! Can you believe this! They couldn’t give me a name they are not well educated in the matter, so, it’s useless to speak with them…

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues to edit/view your files.
Ultimately, to name the “best” program will be difference, since we all have other preferences. Anyways we can name you the one’s we’re using, in order to edit our video files:
Vegas, Adobe After-Effects
So far, our people are coming along greatly.
